Message Templates & the Material Library
Save reusable proof notes and attach realistic material previews — holographic, glitter, gold foil, clear vinyl, UV DTF and more — to your Proofed proofs.
Message templates save you retyping the same proof notes, and each template can carry a material — so the customer's proof preview renders with the actual finish they ordered.
The material library, live#
Click through the finishes below. This is the same rendering the customer sees on the approval portal — including the "no white ink" simulation.
The material library
Iridescent rainbow film that shifts colour with the viewing angle.
Available materials#
| Material | What the preview shows |
|---|---|
| Clear Vinyl | Transparent substrate — the surface behind shows through unprinted areas |
| Holographic | Iridescent rainbow film with an angle-shifting sheen |
| Transparent DTF Iron-on | Film transfer on fabric, with a subtle textile texture |
| Glitter | Sparkly substrate with reflective speckles |
| Gold Foil | Warm metallic gold with a soft sheen |
| Silver Foil | Cool metallic silver with a soft sheen |
| UV DTF | Raised, glossy 3D dome over the printed artwork |
Every material except Transparent DTF also has a "no white" variant for printers that can't lay down white ink: light areas of the artwork render semi-transparent so the substrate shows through — which is exactly what the finished product will do. The customer just sees the clean material name; the variant handling happens behind the scenes.
Material previews kill the most common revision request in speciality printing — "oh, I didn't realise the white parts wouldn't print." Customers see the real effect before they approve.
Creating templates#
- Go to Settings → Message templates and click Add template.
- Name it (e.g. "Holographic sticker proof", "Logo revision round").
- Write the message body — this is the note the customer reads next to the proof.
- Optionally pick a material to attach its visual effect.
- Optionally mark it as your shop's default template.
Using templates#
- When batch-uploading proofs — pick a template and its material preview is applied to every artwork you create in that batch.
- On an existing artwork — apply a template from the order page: its text is copied into the artwork's note (editable afterwards) and its material takes effect on the portal.
Plan limits#
| Plan | Message templates |

| Studio / Pro / Scale | Unlimited |
