Plans & Billing
Proofed plan tiers, included proof orders, overage rates, and feature availability.
Proofed uses Shopify's native billing system — charges appear on your regular Shopify invoice. No separate payment setup required.

Free Trial#
New merchants on the Starter plan receive a 14-day free trial to explore the app before billing begins.
How Usage Works#
A proof order is counted when a proof is first uploaded to an order within the current billing cycle. Usage resets at the start of each billing cycle.
The dashboard displays your current usage with a progress bar — for example, "42 / 100 proof orders used".
Overages#
When your usage exceeds the plan limit, overage charges are automatically recorded to your Shopify account at the per-order rate for your plan. You'll see a warning on the dashboard as you approach the limit.
If you're regularly hitting overages, upgrading to the next plan is usually more cost-effective. For example, 50 overages on Studio ($0.79 each = $39.50) is more than half the price difference to Pro.
Changing Plans#
You can upgrade or downgrade at any time from within the app. Plan changes go through Shopify's billing system and are synced back automatically.
Kanban View (Studio+)#
On Studio plan and above, the dashboard includes a Kanban view — a four-column board (Pending Design, Awaiting Approval, Needs Revision, Approved) with drag-and-drop card movement between columns.
