Everything Custom does

Dimension-Based Pricing

Customers enter width and height (or tap your preset sizes) and the price updates instantly — computed from real material costs, in mm, cm, inches, or feet.

Ingredients & Recipes

Model costs the way you actually buy: per roll, per metre, per m²/ft²/cm², per litre, per hour, or fixed fees. Recipes combine ingredients with your markup and wastage buffer.

Volume Discount Tiers

Reusable quantity-discount rule sets that discount material costs only — your setup fees and labour are never marked down.

Real Prices at Checkout

A native Shopify cart transform applies the calculated price at checkout — no thousand-variant workarounds, and cart quantity edits reprice automatically.

Options & Artwork Upload

Dropdowns and radios with surcharges, text fields priced per character, and drag-and-drop artwork upload — everything lands on the order for production.

One-Click Reorders

Past custom orders show a Reorder button in the customer's account — adjust quantity, re-upload artwork, and the configuration carries over.

In the real app, the rates come from your ingredient costs and markup, the tiers from your discount rule sets — and the calculated price is applied at checkout by a Shopify cart transform function.

What the engine computes

Material cost / unit
$2.22
Labour / unit (at cost)
$4.00
Setup / unit ($15 ÷ 10)
$1.50
Markup ×1.6 on materials
$1.33

$9.05 / unit

$90.50 total · 15% margin

Markup applies to variable (material) costs only — labour and setup pass through at cost, so quantity discounts never eat your fixed costs.

We've been using this app for our custom sticker business and it's helped with taking out the guess work on pricing and margins. We've also used it to capture some basic product customisation info for some of our custom print products. Highly recommended.

Questions, answered

How does the calculated price actually get charged?

Via a native Shopify cart transform function running inside checkout. The calculator attaches the pricing data to the cart line, and the transform sets the real price — including recalculating volume discounts if the customer edits the cart quantity.

What types of pricing does it support?

Costs per roll, per running metre, per m²/ft²/cm², per litre, per labour hour, and fixed fees per item or per order — combined in recipes with markup, wastage buffers, price rounding, and quantity-discount tiers.

Do I need a variant for every size?

No — that's the point. One product with one recipe handles every dimension a customer can enter. No variant explosion, no SKU sprawl.

Can customers upload their artwork?

Yes. Enable uploads on a recipe and the calculator shows a drag-and-drop field; the file link is attached to the order line item, alongside the dimensions and any options they chose.

Will it work with my existing products?

Yes. Assign recipes to existing products individually, per variant, or link a whole collection — collection links stay in sync automatically as products come and go.

Is there a free plan?

Yes — with every feature included. Free covers 3 paid custom orders a month (then $0.10 each, capped at $20). Starter is $5/mo for 50 orders and Growth $15/mo for 200, both capped at $50/month total.
