Getting Started with MOQ Manager
Install the app and set your first minimum order quantity rule in under 5 minutes.
Overview
MOQ Manager lets you set minimum order quantities at the product, variant, or collection level. Once a rule is active, Shopify enforces it automatically at checkout — no theme code required.
You can set multiple rules and they cascade: variant rules override product rules, which override collection rules.
Installing the App
- Open the Shopify App Store listing.
- Click Add app and follow the OAuth prompts.
- Once installed, you'll land on the MOQ Manager dashboard inside your Shopify admin.
Creating Your First Rule
From the dashboard, click Create rule and fill in the form:

Click Save and the rule is immediately live.
Rules apply only to storefront cart sessions — they don't affect draft orders or POS.
Testing Your Rule
- Open your storefront in a new tab (not the Shopify admin preview).
- Navigate to the product the rule applies to.
- Try to add a quantity below the minimum — you should see your custom message.
If nothing happens, check that the rule is Active on the dashboard.
